How To Make Self-Care A Daily Priority
Often times our society perceives an act of self-care as an evening reward, an act made just for Sundays, or the last thing we do at the end of the day after completing our extensive to-do list. However at Peace and Pure, we believe self-care isn’t a 10-minute act at the end of a busy day or a fleeting afterthought.
We believe self-care should be a daily priority.
By definition, self-care describes a conscious act one takes in order to promote their own physical, mental, and emotional health. There are many benefits to integrating self-care in your everyday lives:
- An act of self-care may boost physical health.
- Self care can improve emotional health.
- An act of self care can provide a break from stress, and help with productivity.
- Self care offers time alone, to regenerate and tune in to ourselves.
- Self care generates soothing feelings.
Self-care doesn’t need to be an expensive or time extensive task. Completing an act of self-care can be as simple as writing 5 things you are grateful for about that day, or treating yourself to a bubble bath, or reading a chapter of a book.
